RIGHT NOW: Storms have prompted several Tornado Warnings, including for a storm that could hit the southern part of Fort Worth and another one that could hit north Dallas. There have been several reports of grapefruit (4 inch diameter) size hail and tornadoes west of Fort Worth. These storms are all moving east. Here's a picture of a tornado touchdown from earlier outside of Bowie, Texas:
No Tornado Emergencies have been issued because most of these tornadoes have been over open country, thankfully. Unfortunately, these storms are moving in the general direction of Dallas and Fort Worth. I've been trying to get the stream from the Fox station in Dallas to work, but I can't get it to work.
FOR THE WEEKEND: It still sounds very likely that there will be a major tornado outbreak over the northern and central plains this weekend. The SPC has indicated Monday as the best day for tornadoes. Due to budget limits, I don't chase that far away from Fargo (100 miles is probably stretching my limit), but I may have stuff to share later on if I get out. If the storms head close to Fargo, you can count on storm log #2 soon, at the very least.
