BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 1228 PM CDT SAT MAY 25 2013 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN SAN ANTONIO HAS EXTENDED THE * FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR... BEXAR COUNTY... * UNTIL 330 PM CDT. * AT 1227 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS HAVE ASSESSED THAT WIDESPREAD AND LIFE THREATENING FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE SAN ANTONIO METRO AREA EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. RECENT DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES SUGGEST THAT AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 TO 1 INCH OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE THROUGH 2 PM CDT. THIS RAIN WILL COMBINE WITH EARLIER RAINS OF UP TO 15 INCHES TO PRODUCE ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING. DOZENS OF HIGH WATER RESCUES AND FLOODED HOMES HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED...AND SOME OF THE LARGER STREAMS IN BEXAR COUNTY MAY CONTINUE TO RISE...OR REMAIN AT EXTRAORDINARY OR NEAR RECORD LEVELS. THIS IS A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR THE CITY OF SAN ANTONIO.
