Severe Thunderstorm Watch #169
This includes Pierre and Chamberlain.
I didn't get the chance to mention this earlier, but for parts of western Nebraska and Kansas tomorrow, there is a moderate risk area. The possibility for tornadoes and baseball sized hail are the main concerns. Around that area, there is a slight risk that extends from the Texas panhandle up to areas north of Fargo. Forecasters in Fargo have said that there could be some storms early in the morning during the Fargo Marathon, but it is likely that that activity will pass through before the race.
We'll see what happens with that. I'll be up early for non-weather related reasons tomorrow, and should be able to provide more information then. Either way, this is the first major event that will cover much of Tornado Alley for the year. I will try and keep watches updated while I'm out, but I'll only have my phone, so I might not be able to post maps of where the watches are.
