Today's Severe Risk

It's looking like maybe today isn't going to be the big tornado day of this outbreak, but several tornadoes are possible today. The greatest threat for tornadoes will be in south central Kansas, basically for areas along and west of I-135.

Tomorrow, there is a 30% severe area highlighted by the SPC in the day 2 convective outlook, as well as a "significant" hatched area.

The SPC, in its probabilities to categorical risk page, lists 30% for tornadoes as a high risk, and a slight risk for hail and straight line winds. And on Tuesday, they highlight a much larger 30% hatched area over much of the Midwest.

Definitely a volatile situation. I'll try and get back to posting all watches issued on the blog, since I've been failing to recently. As always, I'll post Tornado Emergency statements on here, as well.
