Severe Weather

First, some reports from the snowstorm in the northeast from @TWCBreaking on Twitter:


New totals just in: 14.0" in Belmont, MA (Middlesex Co.) and Smithfield, RI (Providence Co.)   


Water over seawall on Point Road in Weymouth, MA - water approaching houses. High tide occurring in eastern MA. 


Falmouth, MA just gusted to 70 mph at 9:35pm.  

3" of snow in the past hour at Islip on Long Island; 10" on the ground; visibility now 1/16 of a mile.  




Water levels currently running 2.5 feet above normal tide levels in the area.  

On a different note, we should note that the SPC has issued a Slight Risk of severe weather for the next two days. For tomorrow:


For Sunday:


The threat, at least right now, doesn't look too impressive, but bears monitoring regardless.

And on yet another note, there is another big snowstorm on the way for Sunday. This one will be in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Nebraska. A Blizzard Watch is in effect for Fargo and Grand Forks, ND, Scottsbluff, NE, Morris and Marshall, MN, and almost all of South Dakota, including Sioux Falls, Pierre, Brookings, and Aberdeen. Winter Storm Watches are up for this new storm for areas around that, including North Platte, NE, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Duluth, and Bemidji, MN, Jamestown and Devils Lake, ND, and Rapid City, SD.
