National Scene

The latest winter storm for the northeast could greatly impact travel around New York and Boston on Friday. Otherwise, the rest of the country seems relatively calm.

There is a chance for some flooding around New Orleans as heavy rain that fell in southern Texas today moves into the area. The severe weather threat seems marginal at most, but the SPC issued their "see text" area for a good chunk of the south for tomorrow. That means they are expecting thunderstorms, with a couple isolated severe storms, but they aren't expecting much of anything tomorrow.
